All Change!

As many of our members (certainly those who regularly frequent the Club) will know, our current Stewards, Ants and Angie Mardlin, are moving on to pastures new and their last working day at the Club will be Wednesday 10 August.

Ants and Angie have been with us now for a little over three years and many of us will be sad to see them go. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all that they have done for the Club and to wish them well in all their future ventures.

As one door closes, however, another door opens and the departure of our current Stewards heralds the arrival of the new, in this case Mr & Mrs Alan and Kim Albuery.

Alan and Kim bring with them a wealth of experience, having built and run their own hotel before working for a major UK hospitality chain.

Kim, with her extensive knowledge of managing bars and training staff, will be front of house and Alan, a former army catering corps Master Chef who has further honed his skills in both Clubs and Hotels will be based in our kitchens from where he plans to greatly expand our culinary offerings to include an evening menu and Sunday Carvery.

There will - of course - be a period of adjustment, but it would appear that we find ourselves, once again, at the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Club.
