Welcome to the Biggleswade Conservative Club
Diary.
The report on the Bowls Club's 2011 Gala Day is now available and can be found HERE
Guest Ale.
We have a new Guest Ale . Caledonian 80/- has now been replaced by Hardys & Hansons "Olde Trip". For more details please see the "Gareth's Guest " link.
Kitchen.
Work on the new kitchen is now complete. Some pictures of the construction progress can be found here. A plan of the new kitchen design can be found here.

Concert Room.
With the new Projector System in place it is now possible for us to screen some sporting events and occasions such as the forthcoming Wimbledon weekend. We have also acquired a license to show films and will be hosting a film night every month. See notice board for details.

Swings
The New Swings (along with the safety matting) have now been installed and are proving very popular with kids of all ages!
Wii Console.
Members and their children using the Concert room during Bar Opening Hours are now able to make use of the Club's brand new Nintendo Wii console. Use of the console is provided free of charge but Members should note that there is a £10 refundable deposit required for the use of the games and controllers. Use of the console is at the discretion of the Steward and may not be available at certain times.
Audio System.
The new AUDIO SYSTEM is now in place. All music is now stored digitally so we should have no more ssssssssskipping and jjjjjjumping to spoil the sound.
There are new speakers throughout the Club and even out on the decking and in the gardens.
As well as the stored music it is also possible to choose to listen to the output from the DAB radio or the TV in the concert room.
To complete the system we have added radio microphones that can be heard either just in the Concert Room or throughout the Club and a very nice little facility that allows anyone hiring the Concert Room to hook up their own ipod (or other similar device) to the input port (located on the wall by the TV) and have full control of the music in that room throughout the period of hire.
Play Area.
The new play area has now been officially opened. It is available for use throughout the year and we hope it will be a popular addition to the Club's facilities.
Cask Marque.
The Club is delighted to announce that Gareth’s professionalism continues to be officially recognised and he continues to be able to proudly boast that he has been awarded the much admired Cask Marque.
New Drinks Range
We have introduced a few new drinks to liven up
the range. So if you're in the mood for something a little different, why not
treat yourself to a little Sambuca, a pear cider, something from the Corky's
range, one of the many variants of J2O, a rather tasty Irish Whisky or just
pick yourself up with a dose of Red Bull.
Gardens
Members are reminded that all alcohol consumed in the Club's gardens MUST be purchased from the Club's Bar.
Early Opening.
With warmer weather and lighter evenings just around the corner, we have taken the decision to extend our opening hours. For the rest of the summer the bar will be open from 5pm on weekdays so anyone wishing to chill out a little before completing the journey home will know where to come. After all, any last minute emails and so on can almost always be tidied up using the Club's own WiFi (see below).
Free WiFi.
We now have Wireless Broadband available in the Club. Members with wireless enabled devices will now be able to go online to surf the web and check their emails from just about anywhere in in the Club including both bars, the concert room and even out in the Gardens. To access the network, you will need the pass code (WPA Key) and a card giving this, along with brief instructions for setting up your device, is available from bar staff.
