Bowls Club

The St. Andrew’s Bowls Club was founded in 1913. It is amazing to think that we have been playing bowls at the Biggleswade Conservative Club and battling with other local clubs for over a century!

As a member of the Conservative Club, you are welcome to learn to play the game; we provide the bowls and the training, while you ensure you have a pair of flat shoes to wear. So many people say to me, “I would love to play bowls”, but a quick call to me and we will get you playing.

There is no charge for your first six sessions and if you fall in love with the game and the social atmosphere, you could be enjoying your selection for friendly games only a few weeks of joining, resplendent in your new St Andrews polo shirt. However, if it is not for you, we are just happy that you have tried and who knows when you may bring your grandson or granddaughter along to start a bowls career to compete at international level.

If you want to take up our training offer, please call Fred McCarthy, Bowls Club Secretary, on 01767 221243.
